Joseph V. Porta, 63, of Fords died yesterday, Feb. 16, 2003, at his home.
He was born in Spain, and had resided in Kearny before moving to Fords 25 years ago. He was employed as director of human resources with GTK Co. in Bayonne for 15 years, retiring in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Aida Montero Porta; his stepson, Abel Sueiras of Guttenberg, and his stepdaughter, Linda McGrath of Hemlock Farms, Pa.
